Training to be able to teach Mindful Self-Compassion for Teens (formerly called Making Friends with Yourself) is now being offered both in person and online through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion (www.centerformsc.org).

Pre-requisites for the MSC-T training include taking the adult Mindful Self-Compassion course, having your own mindfulness and self-compassion practice, and having experience working with teens in either an educational or clinical setting. The teacher training offers an experience of the meditations, exercises, and activities in the 8-session program, an explanation of the intentions behind the adaptations that make this program developmentally appropriate for teens, opportunities to practice teaching, managing group dynamics and behaviors with teens, and the most effective teaching strategies for teaching self-compassion to teens.
